Letters to Monroe Haus

"Our dog is just the best, and you can clearly see how beautiful he is" |
Greetings
Walter:
Here is a picture of Axel (in tub) and Rudy (wishing he was in tub?) on
Christmas day, playing together with a new electric boat. They both had a
grand time indeed! Our dog is just the best, and you can clearly see how
beautiful he is. He weighs in at 60 pounds now, at 7 mos., probably where he
should be. I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 90.
Hope things are well with you and yours, and the Schutzen ring is finished.
I'm sure it will be very classy, as per the rest of your kennel. We've decided
to add another shepherd to our clan when Rudy is five, so we'll have to talk
about that in a few years. Our vet, who does all the exams for the local high
volume shepherd breeder was very impressed with our pup. He learns very quickly,
and you would be amazed to watch my 3 year old son fire out the commands, and
the dog minds him very well. It is hysterical to watch, but both the boy and dog
understand the rules, and this I would not have expected from a puppy.
Exceptional!
Happy Holidays, and Peace in the New Year.

Hi Walter and Joanne
Hero is really making himself right at home. He wakes up in his crate next to
our bed at 5:30am and plays with his toys till 6am. Then he is ready to get out
and go outside. He is easily going up stairs and tonight he figured out how to
go downstairs as well. He discovered Kodi's fluffy tail this morning and
delights in playing with it. Kodi puts up with this for awhile and then moves
on.
Hero is fearless and is stealing Kodi's toys right out from under him and
prancing about the room very proud. He is a total delight to all of us.
Thanks,
Tai and Michael

"You should be so proud. Holly is an absolutely wonderful dog." |
Dear Walter & Joanne,
We're having such a great time with Holly. You should be so proud. Holly is
an absolutely wonderful dog. She is very calm. The cats were very interested but
looked from afar. Holly ignored them - too many good smells around here.
The wood chips outside were a great idea as was the crate with the puppy
smell. Absolutely no problems. This may be hard to believe, but I think that
Holly may be house-trained. She let me know twice today that she wanted to go
out. One time she even went down the stairs herself (with her leash on & she
does not like the stairs) & waited by the front door.
Yours, Eileen |
Walter and JoAnn,
Kathy and I could not be happier. Genny is doing so well, and growing as we
watch. She seems so intelligent! At 9 weeks, she already sits and heels. She is
also housebroken and loves the crate in which she sleeps through the night. This
morning she even dragged my newspaper down the driveway to the front porch.
She is a true joy to be with and we love her dearly. I know Genny will be an
extraordinary friend and companion to both of us. She rarely leaves our side.
She comes to work with me at least twice weekly. The office is her second
home and she is well adjusted with the staff. They all love her.
She is truly all we hoped for and more. Once again, we thank you both for
your help, concern and your due diligence as breeders.
Sincerely,
Bill & Kathy

Hello, Walter and Joanne,
We live in Europe now. Our family is even bigger. I have a son, Andrew. He
has already turned 1 year old. The time has been flying by so fast.
Astelle is now SchH 1, KKl,1a and has came in first place in two shows. I
have attached a picture of Astelle and Andrew.

Dear Mr. Monroe,
Emmo is being a very good puppy. He's really energetic and is very smart. I even taught him how to sit and fetch a ball and bring it back. He runs faster than I can already and I wonder how fast he'll be when he's older. Some day I will take him down to visit.
Sincerely,
Frank

"He has already at this age a very regal bearing and seems to know how exceptionally handsome he is. " |
Dear Walter and Joanne,
We can't thank you enough for allowing us to have Fargo. He has only been a member of our family for a few short days but already he has a permanent place in our home and our hearts. Not only does he have beautiful conformation, but he has superb temperament and character. We have already exposed him to several new situations which included other German Shepherds. He handled himself beautifully! He has already at this age a very regal bearing and seems to know how exceptionally handsome he is. We have received notice of a show in Bowling Green Kentucky in October and will be entering him. With the Huntsville Show, the Bowling Green one, and the Nationals in Perry and then possibly the North American Sieger Show in November, he will be well experienced in the ring by the time he is 6 months old. Thank you again for producing such high quality German Shepherds. We are delighted to tell people where we got him!!

"We can not thank
you enough..." |
Dear Walter and Joanne:
It's been too long since we've updated you on Bosco. These pictures are from the vacation we took in August to Acadia National Park in Maine. You would have thought Bosco was a billy goat, he loved hiking with us, which we did every day. He was even allowed in most of Bar Harbor's stores, restaurants and even on the trolly. One person thought he was a wolf when hinking up a mountain. We can not thank you enough for this wonderful gift -- Bosco is a joy!!! We hope all is well. David, Sarah & Bosco
